The EU Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Licensing and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) was officially implemented on June 1, 2007. Compared with the various directives implemented by the European Union in recent years, the REACH regulation has a broader impact. It includes approximately 30000 chemical products in the EU market and downstream products such as textiles, light industry, and pharmaceuticals in three management and monitoring systems: registration, evaluation, and licensing. Products that are not included in this management system cannot be sold in the EU market. REACH is the EU's regulation for preventive management of all chemicals entering its market.
In order to enhance the protection of human health and the environment, as well as enhance the competitiveness of the European Union's chemical industry, the European Commission published a white paper in February 2001 titled "EU Future Chemicals Strategy (COM (2001) 88)", proposing a new chemical policy to ensure high-level chemical safety and competitiveness of the chemical industry through chemical registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction systems, as well as the REACH system.
On November 15, 2001, the European Parliament accepted the report on the white paper. On December 18, 2006, the European Parliament approved the amended REACH Act (EC) No 1907/2006. Learning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals, which came into effect on June 1, 2007. This bill replaces over 40 existing directives and regulations related to chemicals in the European Union, including the Hazardous Classification, Packaging, and Labeling of Substances Directive.

What is REACH testing?
REACH testing is the process of verifying whether a material contains restricted or prohibited chemicals, heavy metals, or other substances. Laboratory testing will only pass if no restricted or prohibited substance exceeds the limit value.
REACH is the abbreviation for Regulations on Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals. REACH regulations are a management system for the production, trade, and use of chemicals, consisting of 15 volumes and 17 attachments, mainly involving registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction. The content is complete, systematic, and rigorous, with both legal provisions and technical standards, a large amount of information, and strong professionalism, Covering approximately 30000 chemical products in the EU market and downstream products such as textiles, light industry, pharmaceuticals, etc.
What information should be provided for REACH certification?
① Prepare 2-3 samples; ② Certification application form; ③ Product manual; ④ Parts list table;
What is the role of REACH certification?
① Provide high protection for human health and the environment through the use of chemicals;
② The person who brings chemicals into the market (manufacturers and importers are responsible for understanding and managing the risks associated with their use);
③ Free movement of substances in the EU market;
④ Strengthening innovation and competitiveness in the EU chemical industry.;
⑤ Promote the use of alternative methods to evaluate the hazardous characteristics of substances, such as quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) and reading;
⑥ Scope and Exemption. REACH applies to substances produced or imported into the European Union annually, in quantities of 1 ton or more. Typically, it applies to all individual chemical substances themselves, preparations, or items (if the substance is released under normal and reasonably foreseeable conditions of use).
How much does REACH testing cost?
The cost of REACH reporting varies for different products, depending on the quantity, color, and applicable substance testing of the materials.
When listing products containing chemicals or metal substances, it is recommended to prepare a reach test report or compliance statement in advance to meet Amazon compliance requirements.
